CRIME, SAFETY AND YOU

Belvidere Police Department and Police Chief Jan Noble are pleased to present a five-part series for older adults in Boone County and surrounding areas that will heighten your awareness of crime in your community and the processes your local law enforcement agencies use to protect you and put the criminal behind bars.
These presentations are specifically designed to bring you, the participant, into the effort to reduce crime against older adults by showing you ways that the criminal elements work as well as ways you can protect yourself from these methods.  Additionally, you will be shown how your police department processes a crime scene and how they prepare for a situation when a dangerous criminal meets the law enforcement officer.

You can attend one or you can attend all of the educational presentations at no cost.  Refreshments will be provided and door prizes will be awarded at each session.  In addition, any participant that attends all five presentations will have a chance to win a special prize at the conclusion of the series.  Call the Boone County Council on Aging at 815-544-9893 to register for each of the sessions listed below.
