Information and Assistance

The Boone County Council on Aging oversees many programs and services vital to older persons.  Many services, ranging from information and assistance, public transportation and legal services to health screening, counseling, recreation, education and housing assistance, are offered through the Boone County Council on Aging, the Keen Age Center. We also provide assistance and information on many Federal and State Programs that benefit the elderly.  Our professional staff provides assistance and referrals with Medicaid, Medicare and insurance, Snap Benefits, Social Security, SSI, Income taxes, tax assessment freeze, Property Tax Deferral, Benefits Access Program and energy assistance in a confidential setting.

We provide this assistance both at the Keen Age Center, as well through our “Outreach” Program.
