Breaking BCCA/KAC News! 

The Keen Age Center, located at 2141 Henry Luckow Lane in Belvidere, Illinois, serves as headquarters for the professional staff and volunteers for all services provided by Boone County Council on Aging as well as a recreational and meeting site for older adults. The Keen Age Center is open weekdays, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Services provided through the Boone County Council on Aging include:

  • Transportation:  Rides provided in Boone County for all ages.  Vans are equipped with wheelchair lifts.
  • Information & Assistance:  Our I&A specialists help seniors with a variety of programs including Benefit Access, LiHEAP, prescription drug programs, Medicare and Medicaid.
  • Community Care Program:  Help at home services for eligible senior citizens.
  • KAC Programs:  The Keen Age Center offers a variety of educational and recreational programs.

                                                                               Boone County Council on Aging Celebrates 44 Years by Honoring Boone County First Responders

 On Saturday, November 4, 2017, the Boone County Council on Aging, BCCA, hosted a very successful Jewels to Jeans 2017, annual dinner dance at the Community Building in Belvidere.  Ten Major Sponsors, forty-three Table Sponsors, fifty-six Individual tickets, and numerous donations,  made this our best year ever.  One of the highlights of the evening was the enthusiastic bidding for Dessert Auction items, with one beautiful cake bringing in a winning bid of $950.
